Her name was Anita, and she was the hottest mom in all of southern Sweden in the 1970’s. While smoking Camels she screamed at her kids until her curlers fell out, all while looking fabulous in her white high-heeled clogs.
One summer day in 2006, Swedish Hasbeens co-founder Emy Blixt, found the shoes Anita wore: 300 pairs of beautiful red, white and black clogs from the 70’s in the basement of an old clog factory in Anita’s neighboring village and brought them back to Stockholm. Swedish Hasbeens was then founded for all those who shared Anita’s love for wooden shoes.
Swedish Hasbeens’ ambition is to continue to release more incoherent and fun shoes and accessories inspired by Hasbeens that once ruled the planet.
The Hasbeens toffels, bags and belts are all based on original 70’s models and are all made with ecologically prepared natural grain leather. Not only is it the most beautiful and highest quality leather, it is also the most environmentally friendly.
Swedish Hasbeens are still handmade in the old traditional way, with respect for people and the environment. The production methods and materials are kind to nature and people. Happy toffels make happy people.
